ACF Fiorentina's Ciriaco Urdaspal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ignacio Cesaro in the 18 minute of the game. Maximino Cabezon might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Raymundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximino Cabezon ran back to his position shaking his head. Eloy Raymundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Cabezon in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Monte Hermoso Beach got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Cesaro. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Maximino Cabezon put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Eloy Raymundo. In the 39thth minute of the game Maximino Cabezon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monte Hermoso Beach's Eloy Raymundo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximino Cabezon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximino Cabezon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Eloy Raymundo made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

55 minutes into the match, Maximino Cabezon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Raymundo. Monte Hermoso Beach's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Cabezon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Ariel Jesus replaced Maximino Cabezon. In the 68th minute, Ariel Jesus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ACF Fiorentina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1.
