The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51stth minute of the game Froilan Oihenarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halcones's Siro Lore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Siro Lore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Oihenarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siro Lore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Froilan Oihenarte's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Paladar Negro FC were awarded a corner. Alejandro Anaya went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Abeijon in the 59th minute of play forced Paladar Negro FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Edur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Edur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eyvar Janusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute of the match, Camillo De Vecchis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aquilino Edur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Halcones's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
