The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, A. Korn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haythem Boumnijel to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Haythem Boumnijel in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santa Margarita's Enzo Peruxu. Dave Basso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dave Basso did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ubaldo Matildo Fillol 10 minutes into the match. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Basso's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, A. Korn's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Basso. The supporters of A. Korn booed when Santa Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Mikolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Dave Basso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A. Korn's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Dave Basso put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. 30 minutes into the game, Haythem Boumnijel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Santa Margarita's Enzo Peruxu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of A. Korn got a freekick which was hit by Haythem Boumnijel. Klaus Mohammadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Matildo Fillol having to interfere. When Santa Margarita's Witomir Pisarczyk in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A. Korn's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santa Margarita fans cheered their team off the field, for while A. Korn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
