In the 9thth minute of the game Nuralp Eracar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lorenzo Boni might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Ibar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenzo Boni ran back to his position shaking his head. Natalio Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo having to interfere. Gabriel Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso in the 15th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Florida United's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso came free, but Gabriel Ibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuralp Eracar, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Florida United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruperto Amato in the 21st minute. Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Bållström in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gabriel Ibar to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Nuralp Eracar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. A collision led to Florida United getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Moises Malvin hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Pasarell during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, one of Esteco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esteco. The referee gave Florida United a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ruperto Amato, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo. 1-1. Celedonio Oliverios struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Gabriel Ibar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esteco. In the 41st minute Ruperto Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when J.P. Hauge got free with Gabriel Ibar in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute of the match, Celedonio Oliverios tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabriel Ibar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 46th minute of the match Esteco got a corner. Florida United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celedonio Oliverios ran over to the corner to take the kick. Robert Perfumo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuralp Eracar made a kick off. If Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Nuralp Eracar put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo. Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Esteco from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ibar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
