Marcelo Polino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Rik Heck made a huge save. When Serbia y Mantonegro's Titan Palermo in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo David Mardel's goalie prevented a goal. If Ceferino Oihan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Deportivo David Mardel's Ludomir Zawacki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rik Heck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Camela in the 27th minute of play forced Deportivo David Mardel's goalkeeper Gogo Leguizamón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludomir Zawacki in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rik Heck saved Serbia y Mantonegro from getting behind. After 36 played minutes Deportivo David Mardel got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Rial. Gogo Leguizamón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Titan Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Cleto Solustiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gogo Leguizamón. Deportivo David Mardel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cleto Solustiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 42nd match minute, Serbia y Mantonegro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saka Kaká to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ludomir Zawacki was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Serbia y Mantonegro's Gogo Leguizamón threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benito Camela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Titan Palermo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Leguizamón having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Serbia y Mantonegro's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Salamon came free, but Rik Heck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rik Heck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomir Zawacki in the 56th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Ludomir Zawacki made a precise shot to the right of Rik Heck. Serbia y Mantonegro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After some careless play in the Serbia y Mantonegro defense, Horacio Ospetsu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rik Heck. The Serbia y Mantonegro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rik Heck should have stopped the shot. Rik Heck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomir Zawacki, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Rik Heck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomir Zawacki in the 70th minute of the match. Cleto Solustiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Serbia y Mantonegro's Benito Camela made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gogo Leguizamón was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 85 minutes, Arnaldo Inocente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo David Mardel and the Serbia y Mantonegro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnaldo Inocente hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Gogo Leguizamón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Titan Palermo in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Camela in the 91st minute of play forced Deportivo David Mardel's goalkeeper Gogo Leguizamón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo David Mardel's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benito Camela 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4.
