After 30 played minutes, Formentera's Martín Ferrero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clemente Benvido came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Formentera reached it. Aristides Villanueva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Amanda van der Sar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The corner led Formentera's Fabio Monte to fire away a dangerous shot which Clemente Benvido despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Aristides Villanueva took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Amanda van der Sar to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Paulo Enmanuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clemente Benvido was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Formentera's Amanda van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Villanueva in the 79th minute of play. When Formentera's Paulo Enmanuel in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
