With a little luck, White StarZ's Gonçalo Vides got control of the ball when Guido Luzaide tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vélez Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herkko Viitaluoma was slow to take the kick. During this time White StarZ's players had a chance to rest. Elpidio Vitin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the match, White StarZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Naike came free, but Gonçalo Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Mircea Berceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Vitin. Vélez Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mircea Berceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Guido Luzaide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Vides having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Berceanu came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mircea Berceanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Vitin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mircea Berceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Berceanu in the 44th minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vélez Juniors's Benigno Gurutz got a free kick in the 44th minute. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Berceanu in the 46th minute of play. After the first half White StarZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Naike was the one to do the kick off. White StarZ's Gonçalo Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Roland in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Berceanu in the 54th minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Bertol kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Fausto Bertol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mircea Berceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Berceanu in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vélez Juniors's zone, Mircea Berceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Vitin came out of the goal and Mircea Berceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vélez Juniors made a substitution. Severo Maule replaced Alberto Joey. 73 minutes into the game, Vélez Juniors's Tiburcio Quinteros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonçalo Vides made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Melchor Napier hit a great ball. Mircea Berceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mircea Berceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Bertol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Elpidio Vitin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to White StarZ getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Fausto Bertol hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Elvio Checa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The White StarZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
