VIEDMA FC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Newpi Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonardo Isadore took the corner. Cornelio Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anak Opat having to interfere. Anak Opat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Perrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes, Eloy Daunte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newpi Academy and the VIEDMA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Newpi Academy got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Daunte. Antonio Perrando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anak Opat having to interfere. If Alberto Tonete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. VIEDMA FC's Anak Opat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tonete in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Newpi Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Perrando to maneuver through the defense. The VIEDMA FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Newpi Academy were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Tonete made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Topo Riquelme in the 59th minute of play forced Newpi Academy's goalkeeper Vlado Delchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tonete got free with Anak Opat in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Antonio Perrando fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 84 played minutes Newpi Academy got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Perrando.
