The corner led to BATIgol FC's Jan-Erik Winström getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Teodoro Primo in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Angel Peruzzi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 9 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Federico Gil. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Alvaro Elija managed to get in a good position for a shot. BATIgol FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Elija was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The BATIgol FC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when BATIgol FC's Alvaro Elija looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Teodoro Primo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tony Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Unax, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 39thth minute of the game Teodoro Primo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BATIgol FC's Angel Peruzzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute C. A. Atlanta were awarded a corner. Everardo Rio went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Everardo Rio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Angel Peruzzi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Unax in the 48th minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Unax was the one to do the kick off. C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Romeo Millano hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, BATIgol FC's Julian Unax got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind BATIgol FC's goalkeeper Angel Peruzzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C. A. Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after BATIgol FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Everardo Rio took the corner. Angel Peruzzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Primo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, BATIgol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Primo came free, but Angel Peruzzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Julian Unax put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tony Guimarães. When Teodoro Primo fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Atlanta's protests and gave Teodoro Primo a yellow card for diving instead. Teodoro Primo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Teodoro Primo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Peruzzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Unax in the 84th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. BATIgol FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
