To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mikus Linkūns came free, but Leopoldo Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Retorno de Palermo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gáspár Nyilasi hit a great ball. When Mikus Linkūns fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Retorno de Palermo's protests and gave Mikus Linkūns a yellow card for diving instead. Aytek Samin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Quinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago Opilano's late challenge caught a Leones FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Opilano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, El Retorno de Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Opilano to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Martin Asier fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Malik in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Martin Asier made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Quinto came free, but Aytek Samin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the El Retorno de Palermo defense, Mariano Peyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aytek Samin. The El Retorno de Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aytek Samin should have stopped the shot. Aytek Samin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Bizi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
