The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Roque Argina dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mauro Dantae, 1-0. In the 13th minute, New Pi's Roque Argina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The audience was convinced that Roque Argina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Dantae was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Teobaldo Ereinotz made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by New Pi's Jorge Osorio. Mauro Dantae was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roque Argina showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 22nd minute Augusto Unax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, New Pi's Roque Argina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauro Dantae made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Roque Argina took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Mauro Dantae to make any attempt to save it. Roque Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Roque Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Pi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Argina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arcadia FC's zone, Roque Argina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Dantae came out of the goal and Roque Argina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roque Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Argina might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Dantae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roque Argina ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roque Argina to strike the kick off in the second half. Mauro Dantae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Roque Argina put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro Dantae. New Pi made a substitution. Marcelo Goito replaced Roque Argina. Arcadia FC's Mauro Dantae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Goito in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Teobaldo Ereinotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marcelo Goito came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the New Pi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Goito couldn't finish the play. Eleuterio Betadur hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Marcelo Goito struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Mauro Dantae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Pi. Marcelo Goito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Dantae having to make a save. Mauro Dantae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Goito, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Marcelo Goito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Arcadia FC defense, Marcelo Goito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Dantae. The Arcadia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Dantae should have stopped the shot. Teobaldo Ereinotz hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Franco during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Miguel Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Arcadia FC's zone, Stamatis Papadopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Dantae came out of the goal and Stamatis Papadopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Luis Ilixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Arcadia FC's zone, Marcelo Goito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Dantae came out of the goal and Marcelo Goito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the New Pi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
