UNIA Oswiecim were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after FC Szombry's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dorel Cârțan took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruben Tino in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Lampe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute, one of UNIA Oswiecim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UNIA Oswiecim. Pablo Echenique fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Lampe having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, UNIA Oswiecim's goalkeeper Walery Joks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilbert Duda. FC Szombry's Gilbert Lampe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Echenique in the 32nd minute of play. Gilbert Lampe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Cârțan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UNIA Oswiecim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damazy Leper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Szombry had won after a very even match.
