The audience was convinced that Maicon Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustaw Pysz was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Gustaw Pysz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Czeslaw Gdowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meelis Vananurm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Czeslaw Gdowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustaw Pysz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Pontes in the 15th minute of the match. MZetowe Mastodonty's attentive Wladyslaw Kaczor managed to snatch the ball when Mieszko Wielgopolski made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Czeslaw Gdowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Meelis Vananurm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Damián Angulo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Meelis Vananurm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MZetowe Mastodonty. In the 25th minute, Czeslaw Gdowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, MZetowe Mastodonty's goalkeeper Gustaw Pysz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wasyl Zgonina. 28 minutes into the match, MZetowe Mastodonty's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Abreu came free, but Gustaw Pysz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Gdowski came free, but Meelis Vananurm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Maicon Pontes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustaw Pysz. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Justin was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, MZetowe Mastodonty's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Justin came free, but Gustaw Pysz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Czeslaw Gdowski made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 62ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Meelis Vananurm would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Gustaw Pysz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Pontes in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Abreu in the 68th minute of play forced MZetowe Mastodonty's goalkeeper Gustaw Pysz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Czeslaw Gdowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Gdowski notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm. Meelis Vananurm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Damián Angulo could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Meelis Vananurm however easily saved by the left post. Meelis Vananurm was a little too slow when Damián Angulo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
