Armin La Penna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelle Hvidegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Rune Griffenfeld could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Armin La Penna however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Esbjerg fB's zone, Asbjørn Alleshauge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wawrzyniec Walicki came out of the goal and Asbjørn Alleshauge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moritz Wihrs scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wawrzyniec Walicki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. RoBen FC's Armin La Penna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Hvidegaard in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes RoBen FC got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Mallin. Esbjerg fB's Wawrzyniec Walicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Mallin in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Thomas Bjørgum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armin La Penna was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 38th minute of the match, Pelle Hvidegaard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armin La Penna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 41 minutes into the match, RoBen FC's goalkeeper Armin La Penna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rune Griffenfeld. 43 minutes into the match, Rune Griffenfeld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armin La Penna. RoBen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rune Griffenfeld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Rune Griffenfeld in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Armin La Penna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rune Griffenfeld was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Henry Rudbøg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armin La Penna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armin La Penna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Griffenfeld in the 54th minute of the match. When Esbjerg fB's Rune Griffenfeld in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Esbjerg fB's Verner Salling was substituted for Iver Tardorf. In the 67th minute, Zakarias Brejnrod hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes RoBen FC got a freekick which was hit by Frits Mosvad. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asbjørn Alleshauge got free with Wawrzyniec Walicki in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, RoBen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pelle Hvidegaard came free, but Armin La Penna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th match minute, RoBen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theodor Elsbro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Griffenfeld in the 93rd minute of play forced RoBen FC's goalkeeper Armin La Penna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mourits Wermelin might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armin La Penna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mourits Wermelin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute Mourits Wermelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armin La Penna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esbjerg fB's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
