After 3 minutes, Gustaaf Van Damme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlétic Incles and the FORTALEZA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Genady Lagutov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Calvin Hollingsworth went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Rowan Myers made in the 8th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FORTALEZA's Mikita Mikulchik. Calvin Hollingsworth succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 9th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinu Pelin got free with Genady Lagutov in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genady Lagutov was a little too slow when Calvin Hollingsworth got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 3-0. Dinu Pelin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Genady Lagutov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mechyslav Zolov charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mechyslav Zolov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Mechyslav Zolov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Calvin Hollingsworth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Genady Lagutov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dinu Pelin in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Genady Lagutov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Genady Lagutov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Hollingsworth in the 23rd minute of the match. Genady Lagutov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Van Damme, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Dinu Pelin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genady Lagutov having to make a save. In the 31st minute Dinu Pelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genady Lagutov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinu Pelin took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Genady Lagutov. Genady Lagutov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The supporters of FORTALEZA booed when Club Atlétic Incles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

Alan Shearer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Club Atlétic Incles's Calvin Hollingsworth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Genady Lagutov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. In the 58th minute, Dinu Pelin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Genady Lagutov was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Genady Lagutov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Calvin Hollingsworth went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. After 66 minutes, Dinu Pelin made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. FORTALEZA's Genady Lagutov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Calvin Hollingsworth struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Genady Lagutov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlétic Incles. In the 70th minute, Dinu Pelin made a precise shot to the right of Genady Lagutov. FORTALEZA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Hollingsworth in the 73rd minute of play forced FORTALEZA's goalkeeper Genady Lagutov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Dinu Pelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genady Lagutov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Dinu Pelin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 14-0. In the 88th minute, Calvin Hollingsworth made a precise shot to the right of Genady Lagutov. FORTALEZA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 15-0. There was no doubt that Club Atlétic Incles were the better team. Club Atlétic Incles's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
