With a little luck, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Firmo Cerda got control of the ball when Oscar De León tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Van Caels came free, but Chuan Cintron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Willie Colon could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Firmo Cerda however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willie Colon got free with Firmo Cerda in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Cordero Gipils replaced Azubeli Roman. The wind increased when Dan Van Caels made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Oscar De León ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Firmo Cerda was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Atlético Municipal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claude Sena in the 60th minute. Dan Van Caels's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chuan Cintron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play.
