The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cidro Galnares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unai Calatayud, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The supporters of Sobrecastell UD booed when Atlético Ourense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andoitz Riells didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Atlético Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Abancens came free, but Colon Manrique reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unai Calatayud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cidro Galnares having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Andoitz Riells in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sobrecastell UD's Alex Esperta. Euloxu Bermudez kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Sobrecastell UD's Rodrigo Abancens got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Unai Calatayud took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cidro Galnares. Cidro Galnares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Unai Calatayud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Unai Calatayud's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Cidro Galnares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 41st minute, Tolino Albizua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sobrecastell UD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tolino Albizua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tolino Albizua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Colon Manrique made a huge save. Cidro Galnares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Euloxu Bermudez in the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Sobrecastell UD's goal looked a bit too open when Unai Calatayud came free, but Cidro Galnares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alex Esperta fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sobrecastell UD's protests and gave Alex Esperta a yellow card for diving instead. Alex Esperta kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Indartsu Sarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cidro Galnares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sobrecastell UD's Alex Esperta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Andoitz Riells, made in the 77th minute of the game. In the 78th match minute, Atlético Ourense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tartalo Rajoi to maneuver through the defense. Alex Esperta kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tartalo Rajoi in the 85th minute of play forced Sobrecastell UD's goalkeeper Cidro Galnares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolino Albizua kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
