Winthont FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sander Schaars was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitchel Dijkstra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathijs Grommers struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Mitchel Dijkstra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winthont FC. Mitchel Dijkstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Zalm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Pascal Zalm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Winthont FC's Dennis Beerthuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feyzullay Taşkıner in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Young Benefica's Pepe Guardiola got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With 75 minutes on the clock, Sander Schaars commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 74 minutes into the game, one of Winthont FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Abilio Pages had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 minutes Winthont FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Walmir Breckenfeld who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Young Benefica's Walmir Breckenfeld to fire away a dangerous shot which Dennis Beerthuis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 86th minute, Mathijs Grommers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pascal Zegeling hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Maciej Wielgopolski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Young Benefica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Young Benefica fully deserved thier win.
