Jelle Caluwé's late challenge caught a NFC Eagles 22's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jelle Caluwé helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jelle Caluwé hit a great ball. Nigel Need took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanek Daszkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Tanek Daszkowski made a precise shot to the right of Nigel Need. SV Wissenkerke's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SV Wissenkerke. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mirko Boezem made the kick off in the second half. The NFC Eagles 22 fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when NFC Eagles 22's Joeri Donderwinkel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
