The corner led to Cestarolli FC's Primitivo Cayuela getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Cestarolli FC's Abdelbassir Cestarolli in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAO JOANENSE FC's goalie prevented a goal. Cestarolli FC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after SAO JOANENSE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jefferson de Mendonça took the corner. Cestarolli FC's Reynaldo Cestarolli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Netto in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Abdelbassir Cestarolli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu Lamego was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelbassir Cestarolli in the 21st minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SAO JOANENSE FC! SAO JOANENSE FC:s Amadeu Lamego showed great skill when he stopped Abdelbassir Cestarolli:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelbassir Cestarolli in the 27th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Osmar França. Amadeu Lamego came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Cestarolli FC's Abdelbassir Cestarolli. But to his dismay, Abdelbassir Cestarolli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Abdelbassir Cestarolli scored 4-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeu Lamego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdelbassir Cestarolli was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the SAO JOANENSE FC defense, Abdelbassir Cestarolli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Lamego. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Lamego should have stopped the shot. 53 minutes into the game, one of SAO JOANENSE FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 57th minute of the game, Jefferson de Mendonça landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 57 minutes into the game, Osmar França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAO JOANENSE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cestarolli FC the free kick. After 58 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Osmar França. Abdelbassir Cestarolli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Lamego having to interfere. In the 64th minute David-Matías Cestarolli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Abdelbassir Cestarolli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Lamego. SAO JOANENSE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdelbassir Cestarolli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 70 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelbassir Cestarolli came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelbassir Cestarolli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Carlos Eduardo Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But to his dismay, Abdelbassir Cestarolli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Luizão Cestarolli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Amadeu Lamego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Osmar França hit a great ball. Cestarolli FC's Abdelbassir Cestarolli got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cestarolli FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SAO JOANENSE FC for a fine match.
