The referee ignored Lilywhites's protests and gave Amerigo Egger a yellow card for diving instead. Amerigo Egger hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Lilywhites's Ermanno Baratta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ercole Carnevale in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Santoryu FC's Cesare Romano got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Michelini came free, but Ercole Carnevale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ercole Carnevale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Brandelius in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Dennis Nero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santoryu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Ercole Carnevale successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Teodoro Chale made the kick off in the second half. Modesto Oakley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Nero in the 51st minute of play. Ercole Carnevale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Szepes in the 67th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Róbert Szepes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ercole Carnevale. Santoryu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Róbert Szepes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Santoryu FC made a substitution. Andrea Muciaccia replaced Elia Strano. In the 76th minute, Róbert Szepes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The supporters of Lilywhites booed when Santoryu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Facchini didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Amerigo Egger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ercole Carnevale was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
