Emiliano Polito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Infami di Canaus's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Finocchio came free, but Alexsandro Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes Infami di Canaus got a freekick which was hit by Charidimos Papadakis. 26 minutes into the match, Infami di Canaus's Luizão Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Polito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luizão Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emiliano Polito having to make a save. Emiliano Polito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Castro in the 27th minute of play. Fabio Presutti made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cosimo Finocchio however managed to control. Infami di Canaus's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizão Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Polito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Duri come il marmo defense, Luizão Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Polito. The Duri come il marmo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Polito should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Duri come il marmo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luizão Castro's late challenge caught a Duri come il marmo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizão Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Infami di Canaus's Alexsandro Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Addari in the 46th minute of play. The Duri come il marmo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Infami di Canaus were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Rizzo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Ezequiel Leizarraga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Infami di Canaus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Luizão Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luizão Castro got free with Emiliano Polito in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Infami di Canaus's Ezequiel Leizarraga got a free kick in the 57th minute. The audience was convinced that Luizão Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Polito was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Cristoforo Di Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Luizão Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Polito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Duri come il marmo's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Castro came free, but Emiliano Polito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Emilio Rizzo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexsandro Godoi. Infami di Canaus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Rizzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Infami di Canaus made a substitution. Infami di Canaus's Comunardo Cerri was substituted for Mihail Brânza. 76 minutes into the match, Emilio Rizzo notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Infami di Canaus's Alexsandro Godoi. Alexsandro Godoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Sergipano hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesare Punta in the 95th minute of play forced Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Emiliano Polito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cesare Punta fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Infami di Canaus's protests and gave Cesare Punta a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Infami di Canaus's Cesare Punta got a free kick in the 97th minute. Infami di Canaus were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Duri come il marmo's much stronger midfield.
