Attilio Marzoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Santos in the 2nd minute of play. 2 minutes into the match, Peter Santos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Verbano FC's Attilio Marzoli. Attilio Marzoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peter Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jânio César took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Fulgenzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Verbano FC's Cyryl Wawak got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verbano FC's goalkeeper Attilio Marzoli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Santos in the 21st minute of play forced Verbano FC's goalkeeper Attilio Marzoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verbano FC's goalkeeper Attilio Marzoli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Martyon Brading shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio César saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Black Mount™'s goal looked a bit too open when Martyon Brading came free, but Jânio César reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Attilio Marzoli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Black Mount™'s Peter Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Attilio Marzoli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Attilio Marzoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Santos in the 51st minute of play. Black Mount™'s Jânio César played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyon Brading in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Peter Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attilio Marzoli. Verbano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Attilio Marzoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Santos in the 65th minute. Black Mount™'s Oswaldo Trigo was substituted for Peter Santos. 75 minutes into the game, Cyryl Wawak threw the ball into play from the sideline. Black Mount™'s Benedicto Aparicio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 75 minutes into the match, Black Mount™'s Oswaldo Trigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Attilio Marzoli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oswaldo Trigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Attilio Marzoli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th play minute Oswaldo Trigo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Attilio Marzoli. 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franco Zuccarini got free with Attilio Marzoli in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oswaldo Trigo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Attilio Marzoli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Verbano FC defense, Oswaldo Trigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Attilio Marzoli. The Verbano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Attilio Marzoli should have stopped the shot. Yu Sheng made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Black Mount™'s Benedicto Aparicio. Franco Zuccarini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Attilio Marzoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Proietti lost his temper 95 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Black Mount™'s Amedeo Azzolina got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Attilio Marzoli.
