It was a well-played corner which Juliusz Julien managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loco Palermo was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's Paolo Rossi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Catucci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. San Nicolò Kings's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paolo Rossi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Giacomo Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nedo Nadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. San Nicolò Kings's Corrado Trevisani managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eraldo Di Filippo in the 84 minute of the game.
