Alberto Iezzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Iezzi in the 7th minute of play forced Hyblae FC's goalkeeper Corrado Contestabile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arrigo Iannucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Stintino FC's Arrigo Iannucci in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hyblae FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12th minute Stintino FC were awarded a corner. Alvise Vittorio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Stintino FC's Alvise Vittorio to fire away a dangerous shot which Corrado Contestabile despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Corrado Contestabile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Rizzo in the 13th minute of play. Antonello Ranieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eigirdas Burnickas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hyblae FC's zone, Alberto Iezzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corrado Contestabile came out of the goal and Alberto Iezzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corrado Contestabile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Iannucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Stintino FC's Attilio Losito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corrado Contestabile narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Corrado Contestabile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Iezzi in the 25th minute of the match. Stintino FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alvise Vittorio in the 27th minute. Stintino FC's Angelo Bertoni was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Corrado Contestabile in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 30th minute, Attilio Losito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corrado Contestabile was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, Hyblae FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Rizzo came free, but Corrado Contestabile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Alex Rizzo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stintino FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Antonello Ranieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Giancola in the 40th minute of the match. Amedeo Giancola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Antonello Ranieri made a huge save. After the first half Stintino FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arrigo Iannucci to make the kick off. Corrado Contestabile was a little too slow when Attilio Losito got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-3. Stintino FC's Antonello Ranieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Giancola in the 59th minute of play. Ferruccio Festuccia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Antonello Ranieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61stth minute of the game Eigirdas Burnickas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stintino FC's Antonello Ranieri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Hyblae FC's goalkeeper Corrado Contestabile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arrigo Iannucci. Antonello Ranieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Giancola in the 65th minute of play. When Amedeo Giancola came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Hyblae FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Giancola couldn't finish the play. After 72 minutes Hyblae FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvise Vittorio who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Alvise Vittorio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Corrado Contestabile quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amedeo Giancola in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonello Ranieri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 81 minutes, Eigirdas Burnickas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hyblae FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eigirdas Burnickas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amedeo Giancola in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonello Ranieri saved Stintino FC from getting behind. Corrado Contestabile made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enzo Ascenzi in the 84th minute. Corrado Contestabile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arrigo Iannucci went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Arrigo Iannucci struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Corrado Contestabile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stintino FC. In the 94thth minute of the game Amedeo Giancola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stintino FC's Antonello Ranieri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Stintino FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stintino FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
