Arnoud de Pelsmakere had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Ni Qi Yuan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 1-0 came in the 9th minute when Ni Qi Yuan all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Arnoud de Pelsmakere. Club Universidad Nacional's Arnoud de Pelsmakere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ni Qi Yuan in the 21st minute of play. Moreno Veloz made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Toni Delgado however managed to control. Arnoud de Pelsmakere didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ni Qi Yuan went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Club Universidad Nacional's Malcom James was substituted for Eustaquio Mede. Club Universidad Nacional's Gerardo Nesto was substituted for Angel Morales. Narciso Galoer kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Universidad Nacional booed when Moneyball Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Arnau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Moneyball Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Nesto came free, but Turgay Şeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Steffen Gimlinge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Turgay Şeren was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ni Qi Yuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 69 minutes into the match, Moneyball Academy's goalkeeper Turgay Şeren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffen Gimlinge. Moneyball Academy's Alex Enoaia was substituted for Esen Sevimli. Moneyball Academy made a substitution. Haroldo Maju replaced Toni Delgado. Moneyball Academy made a substitution. Barnaba Ciborek replaced Ni Qi Yuan. In the 87th minute Maximino Malvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Club Universidad Nacional's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Universidad Nacional may have spent more time on the ball, but Moneyball Academy were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
