With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ayoví Costoya in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Ahonen saved Revolución Joao FC from getting behind. The corner ended in Osvaldo Somoza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Puerto Quito's Mauricio Precioso did a great save. In the 12th minute, Moreta Besosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute of the match Angel Quintana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauricio Precioso skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Jakes in the 14th minute of play forced Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper Mauricio Precioso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Ahonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jhon Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Ahonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufino Giron in the 17th minute of the match. With his leg Mauricio Precioso managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Revolución Joao FC's Patricio Jakes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jhon Costa sped through Revolución Joao FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel Ahonen. Osvaldo Somoza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauricio Precioso. Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 43 minutes of play Club Puerto Quito's Conrado Leo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Club Puerto Quito getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Conrado Leo hit a great ball. Club Puerto Quito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Patricio Jakes scored to the left of an out of position Mauricio Precioso, making the score, 1-2.

Joel Ahonen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jhon Costa. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Marcelo Noceda took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Joel Ahonen to make any attempt to save it. In the 63rdth minute of the game Patricio Jakes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Puerto Quito's Mauricio Precioso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th match minute, Revolución Joao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Quintana to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Jhon Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Ahonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Revolución Joao FC booed when Club Puerto Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufino Giron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Somoza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauricio Precioso. Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mauricio Precioso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Somoza in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute Osvaldo Somoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Precioso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Puerto Quito getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ayoví Costoya hit a great ball. In the 90th minute of the match Osvaldo Somoza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauricio Precioso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 3-3 became the score in the 91st minute when Uriel Coca elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
