The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Keszi Athletic's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balázs Kádár in the 3rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugó Révész in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wincenty Budzyn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute, Hugó Révész made a precise shot to the right of Wincenty Budzyn. Sporting Savaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Wincenty Budzyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaios Vourtzoumis in the 10th minute of play. Heiki Uustal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 20 minutes into the match, Hugó Révész had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wincenty Budzyn. Sporting Savaria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugó Révész was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Hugó Révész's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wincenty Budzyn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Hugó Révész had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wincenty Budzyn. Sporting Savaria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugó Révész was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Hugó Révész might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wincenty Budzyn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugó Révész ran back to his position shaking his head. The Keszi Athletic fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Keszi Athletic's Hugó Révész looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38thth minute of the game Vaios Vourtzoumis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Savaria's Wincenty Budzyn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Vaios Vourtzoumis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Wincenty Budzyn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Hugó Révész had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kálmán Mbappè to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Sporting Savaria's goal looked a bit too open when Hugó Révész came free, but Wincenty Budzyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wincenty Budzyn stood somewhat misplaced when Hugó Révész came free in front of goal and shot 0-11 to the left of him in the 56 minute. A collision led to Sporting Savaria getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Lajos Laczkó hit a great ball. Wincenty Budzyn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugó Révész in the 60th minute. Hugó Révész sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th minute Hugó Révész shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincenty Budzyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Sporting Savaria's Wincenty Budzyn got control of the ball when Hugó Révész tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wincenty Budzyn was a little too slow when István Gyurkovics got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-12. In the 78th minute of the match, István Gyurkovics tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wincenty Budzyn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 85th minute, Hugó Révész reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wincenty Budzyn. The goal made the score 0-13. István Gyurkovics received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wincenty Budzyn came out and tried to block the shot, but István Gyurkovics slotted it home off the left post making it 0-14 in the 87th minute. Keszi Athletic's Csaba Sarkady got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Lajos Laczkó threw the ball into play from the sideline. Keszi Athletic's Kir Dybal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sporting Savaria were furious when Klas Collin was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sporting Savaria! With a little luck, Sporting Savaria's Wincenty Budzyn got control of the ball when Hugó Révész tried to sneak it across the goal line. Keszi Athletic played a much better game than Sporting Savaria and deserved their victory. The Sporting Savaria players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
