After 11 played minutes AKÇEŞMESPOR got a freekick which was hit by Don Mateo. 14 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞK's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Chuse came free, but Arda Göksel Yalman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berke Gümüşsoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Berke Gümüşsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Berke Gümüşsoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BEŞİKTAŞK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. AKÇEŞMESPOR's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chen Jun Yan in the 27th minute of play. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berke Gümüşsoy in the 29th minute of the match. Cláudio Taffarel came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by BEŞİKTAŞK's Berke Gümüşsoy. But to his dismay, Berke Gümüşsoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With an all-out effort, AKÇEŞMESPOR's Arda Göksel Yalman threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Meriç Özsen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 38 minutes into the match, AKÇEŞMESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Berke Gümüşsoy came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berke Gümüşsoy's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Berke Gümüşsoy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cláudio Taffarel having to make a save. Cláudio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berke Gümüşsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, AKÇEŞMESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Berke Gümüşsoy came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berke Gümüşsoy struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Cláudio Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BEŞİKTAŞK. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Berke Gümüşsoy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cláudio Taffarel having to make a save. Cláudio Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Berke Gümüşsoy sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Don Mateo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of BEŞİKTAŞK booed when AKÇEŞMESPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Mateo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Valdemar Almkvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cláudio Taffarel skillfully saved the ball.
