The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when Real Salsa F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aziz Özarkın didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Behlül Akaydın was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Salsa F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Real Salsa F.C.'s Behlül Akaydın was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Batıkan Muhsin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Real Salsa F.C.'s zone, Korkutalp Bektaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greger Fribäck came out of the goal and Korkutalp Bektaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Real Salsa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Kolba came free, but Greger Fribäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Real Salsa F.C.'s goalkeeper Greger Fribäck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barnaba Kolba. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Mehmet Bilge Korkutalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Salsa F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Bilge Korkutalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natalio Txeru was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Real Salsa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ximenes Oñatibia to maneuver through the defense. Barnaba Kolba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
