The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Perez came free, but Tạ I reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Naldo Proença was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Virgílio Perez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tạ I. That made the score 2-2 in the 40 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Severino in the 44th minute of play forced Begu Ganjang's goalkeeper Tạ I to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th play minute João Severino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tạ I. 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Begu Ganjang defense, Fausto Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tạ I. The Begu Ganjang fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tạ I should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, Fausto Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Tạ I. Begu Ganjang's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. With a little luck, Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença got control of the ball when David Trezeguet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Scarlet Speedster were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Begu Ganjang for a fine match.
