Morgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Seelig having to interfere. 4 minutes into the match, Filomeno Sepúlveda notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Stralsund Kicker's Hakim Seelig. Hakim Seelig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, J.P. Morgan put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hakim Seelig. J.P. Morgan scored 0-3 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hakim Seelig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Universitario de deportes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Olaechea in the 15th minute. Knut Kuznicki charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Knut Kuznicki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Stralsund Kicker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Kuznicki to maneuver through the defense. Jacob Kömm kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, J.P. Morgan put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Hakim Seelig. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-7 when J.P. Morgan sped through Stralsund Kicker's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hakim Seelig. In the 34th minute J.P. Morgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakim Seelig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stralsund Kicker's Octavian Flug got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hakim Seelig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.P. Morgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the game, J.P. Morgan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Hakim Seelig was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Filomeno Sepúlveda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakim Seelig was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. After the first half Universitario de deportes were leading 0-10. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the game, Universitario de deportes's J.P. Morgan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hakim Seelig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-11. With an all-out effort, Universitario de deportes's Hakim Seelig threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from J.P. Morgan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. J.P. Morgan had several of the Stralsund Kicker's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-12 score and a disappointed Hakim Seelig as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Stralsund Kicker's zone, Jorge Olaechea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakim Seelig came out of the goal and Jorge Olaechea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Universitario de deportes's J.P. Morgan in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stralsund Kicker's goalie prevented a goal. When J.P. Morgan in the 62nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Hakim Seelig kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-13 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The audience thought a goal was coming when J.P. Morgan got free with Hakim Seelig in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Hakim Seelig managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Universitario de deportes's J.P. Morgan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Universitario de deportes's Hugo Saboya was substituted for J.P. Morgan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Saboya in the 73rd minute of play forced Stralsund Kicker's goalkeeper Hakim Seelig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Stralsund Kicker's goalkeeper Hakim Seelig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Zima. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 0-14 when Hugo Saboya sped through Stralsund Kicker's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hakim Seelig. Hakim Seelig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Saboya in the 80th minute. Filomeno Sepúlveda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hakim Seelig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Filomeno Sepúlveda from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Hakim Seelig's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 87th play minutes Hugo Saboya shot 0-16, a short shot which went by Hakim Seelig and just under the crossbar into goal. Hugo Saboya took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hakim Seelig. Hakim Seelig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-17. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-18 when Hugo Saboya sped through Stralsund Kicker's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hakim Seelig.
