Vágner Vargas was slow to take the kick. During this time Stiinta-Univ.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Stiinta-Univ.'s Aurel Panait getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Moreira came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stiinta-Univ. reached it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Stiinta-Univ. fully deserved thier win.
