Derman Soysaldı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ás Ronaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madison's supporters rose to their feet, but Ás Ronaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derman Soysaldı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Alfonso took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derman Soysaldı. Derman Soysaldı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matteo Mata to make the kick off.
