Edelmiro Matei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Fenomeno in the 21st minute of the match. Salvador Romelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Edelmiro Matei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Delmiro Valente recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edelmiro Matei. Delmiro Valente showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Gil in the 28th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Edelmiro Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester City's Edelmiro Matei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. András Tóth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Polentzi in the 31st minute of the match. Manchester City's Edelmiro Matei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Ashford in the 32nd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romário Fenomeno was the one to do the kick off. Flavinho de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. András Tóth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester City. Edelmiro Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Gil, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
