When Michal Grunwalski fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Tobiasz Maurycy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andrzej Wieczorek firmly grabbed it by the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davor Šuker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 84th minute Ali Atıf Nezir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Wieczorek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrzej Wieczorek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobiasz Maurycy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
