Servando Ariste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Servando Ariste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Bibiano Barbosa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 18 minutes into the game, Gilesindo Tarapiella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ximenes Barnechea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Siro Santamaria who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Bibiano Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Frans Escajadillo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Alianza Trujillo's Ximenes Barnechea. Ximenes Barnechea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Rosa during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CON-E-CO getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaufred Parraga was the one to do the kick off. Bibiano Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Santamaria in the 52nd minute of play. After 52 played minutes Alianza Trujillo got a freekick which was hit by Dolcet Bevia. Gaufred Parraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bibiano Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaufred Parraga during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Alianza Trujillo getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gaufred Parraga hit a great ball. The supporters of CON-E-CO booed when Alianza Trujillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaufred Parraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Azibar Marcello kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Gaufred Parraga struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Bibiano Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alianza Trujillo. Ximenes Barnechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Servando Ariste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Frans Escajadillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Alianza Trujillo's Mario Verdeja was substituted for Hernán Barco. After some careless play in the Alianza Trujillo defense, Gilesindo Tarapiella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ximenes Barnechea. The Alianza Trujillo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ximenes Barnechea should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Alianza Trujillo's goal looked a bit too open when Gilesindo Tarapiella came free, but Ximenes Barnechea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Frans Escajadillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ximenes Barnechea. That made the score 0-8 in the 85 minute of play. In the 94th minute Gilesindo Tarapiella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximenes Barnechea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CON-E-CO played a much better game than Alianza Trujillo and deserved their victory. The Alianza Trujillo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
