José Maria Buljubasich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Vallengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 9 minutes, Torsten Vallengren made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Lea Papá's José Maria Buljubasich tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Artur Abechuco made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Torsten Vallengren however managed to control. After 20 minutes, Joaquín Montalvo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Lea Papá and the River CBBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joaquín Montalvo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. River CBBA's Torsten Vallengren was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Artur Abechuco hit a great ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Torsten Vallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River CBBA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torsten Vallengren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Club Atlético Lea Papá got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Carracedo. Leopoldo Luque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Buljubasich having to interfere. In the 40th minute of the match, Leopoldo Luque got a very nice opportunity to score, but José Maria Buljubasich was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Club Atlético Lea Papá's José Maria Buljubasich got control of the ball when Leopoldo Luque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torsten Vallengren in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Maria Buljubasich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejo Veliz was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Luque in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Maria Buljubasich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th match minute, Club Atlético Lea Papá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnie Ocaña to maneuver through the defense. He Yi came free in the 58th minute and tried to tip the ball over José Maria Buljubasich, but to the joy of Club Atlético Lea Papá's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Veliz in the 61st minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejo Veliz during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Alejo Veliz got a free kick in the 65th minute. Artur Abechuco kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Jairo Abadie charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Abadie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Atlético Lea Papá booed when River CBBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Abadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Lea Papá's José Maria Buljubasich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Vallengren in the 77th minute of play. When River CBBA's Leopoldo Luque in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Luque's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Buljubasich was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Vallengren in the 92nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper José Maria Buljubasich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Junior Rentería kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. He Yi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that River CBBA were the better team. River CBBA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
