The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Pernambucano in the 3rd minute of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Wellington Phoenix's Erivaldo Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo de Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Amadeu Arruda hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Teofilo Unai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Hugo de Amorim made a huge save. Jukatriz's Hugo de Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Jukatriz from getting a goal against them. Egídio de Almeida's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo de Amorim firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Erivaldo Pernambucano put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hugo de Amorim. Hugo de Amorim was a little too slow when Erivaldo Pernambucano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 4-0. Egídio de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio de Almeida in the 28th minute of play forced Jukatriz's goalkeeper Hugo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Unai in the 37th minute of the match. Evaristo Pernambucano charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Pernambucano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Haroldo Arce's late challenge caught a Wellington Phoenix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Arce helped the player get up and apologised. 42 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goalkeeper Hugo de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio de Almeida. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio de Almeida in the 43rd minute of play forced Jukatriz's goalkeeper Hugo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Hugo de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Yao Sha in the 52nd minute of play. Wanderson Vergílio hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the game, Wei Yao Sha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Hugo de Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58thth minute of the game Wei Yao Sha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jukatriz's Hugo de Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute Wei Yao Sha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizão Castro scored 7-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo de Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro de Amaral in the 68th minute of play forced Jukatriz's goalkeeper Hugo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Egídio de Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wellington Phoenix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 78th minute, Teofilo Unai made a precise shot to the right of Hugo de Amorim. Jukatriz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. The audience was convinced that Wei Yao Sha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo de Amorim was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 10-0 became the score in the 83rd minute when Teofilo Unai elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Hugo de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Unai, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Egídio de Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. Wellington Phoenix's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
