Frédéric Pantel kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Green Madness's Pacôme Marx got his second yellow card of the match in the 16th minute. The referee ordered Pacôme Marx off the ground. A collision led to Green Madness getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Amaury Thiébault made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Henno in the 66th minute of play. Gildas Walther hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Edmond Antigny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Châtelain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmond Antigny took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Châtelain. César Châtelain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a little luck, Real Sociedad's Amaury Thiébault got control of the ball when Marcel Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. César Châtelain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoffroy Soullard in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoffroy Soullard in the 97th minute of play forced Green Madness's goalkeeper César Châtelain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Green Madness supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Green Madness would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
