When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu sped through FC Saubrigues's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo Dubernard. Paulo Dubernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the FC Saubrigues defense, Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Dubernard. The FC Saubrigues fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Dubernard should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute Felix Ré shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Dubernard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Dubernard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willy Hautefeuille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Saubrigues's zone, Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Dubernard came out of the goal and Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Cosa nostra Lyon's Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Dubernard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Dubernard when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Laurent Cazes made in the 81st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Camille Roca however managed to control. Cosa nostra Lyon's Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. But to his dismay, Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. FC Saubrigues's Paulo Dubernard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Cosa nostra Lyon left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Saubrigues.
