The audience was convinced that Ubaldo Savion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Arnas was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Santa Luis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Alfonso Arnas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Cañani OFF got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Bingen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubaldo Savion in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Arnas saved Cañani OFF from getting behind. Ubaldo Savion took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Arnas. Alfonso Arnas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Homero Thomson notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cañani OFF's Alfonso Arnas. Alfonso Arnas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the game, The Old Boys's Homero Thomson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Arnas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Homero Thomson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfonso Arnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Savion, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute Ubaldo Savion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Arnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ubaldo Savion was the one to do the kick off. Alfonso Arnas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homero Thomson in the 51st minute of the match. In the 55th match minute, The Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Black Negro to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Arnas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Homero Thomson in the 62nd minute of play. Joaquin Gudesteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Faro in the 68th minute of the match. Bernabe Lico kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Faro in the 72nd minute of play forced The Old Boys's goalkeeper Joaquin Gudesteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alonzo Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, The Old Boys's Aquilino Lauren got a free kick in the 77th minute. Lucas Urtzi, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. When Feliciano Leoiar came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the The Old Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Leoiar couldn't finish the play. Alfonso Arnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Homero Thomson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The Old Boys's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
