In the 10th minute, Jon-Egil Sætre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Andrew Robertson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrew Robertson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Adán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute of the match, Zigmantas Gimbutas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dražen Ladić saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of SC Braga booed when Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Ferreyra didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zigmantas Gimbutas made a kick off. Zigmantas Gimbutas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dražen Ladić having to make a save. If Marcelo Cordero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Cordero. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's attentive Jose Bero managed to snatch the ball when Yan Zhan Cheng made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. SC Braga's Antonio Adán proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save SC Braga from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dražen Ladić saved Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT from getting behind. In the 73rd match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Zhan Cheng to maneuver through the defense. SC Braga made a substitution. Donato Sampaio replaced Edgar Figari. Yan Zhan Cheng kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match, Haroldo Alfonso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antonio Adán was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
