The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Ralondo came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7thth minute of the game Thalis Papazisis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Alexis Rijkaard in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Baez FC's Filip Balonek. Baez FC's Thalis Papazisis got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marco Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the game, Alexis Rijkaard threw the ball into play from the sideline. Baez FC's J.C. 赵永建 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 17 minutes into the match, Baez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Cantona came free, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Baez FC's Thalis Papazisis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastián Sosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Baez FC's zone, Marco Cantona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Jesus Carvallo came out of the goal and Marco Cantona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Vikingos FC's Marco Cantona in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baez FC's goalie prevented a goal. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Baez FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Perico was slow to take the kick. During this time Vikingos FC's players had a chance to rest. After a defensive mix-up in Baez FC's zone, Marco Cantona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Jesus Carvallo came out of the goal and Marco Cantona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Marco Cantona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horacio Jesus Carvallo. Baez FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Cantona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alexis Rijkaard hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Vikingos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Cantona to strike the kick off in the second half. Sebastián Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thalis Papazisis, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Marco Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Cantona in the 60th minute of play forced Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Marco Cantona took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Horacio Jesus Carvallo to make any attempt to save it. Marco Cantona might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Jesus Carvallo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Cantona ran back to his position shaking his head. Baez FC's Horacio Jesus Carvallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Cantona in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute Thalis Papazisis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Jesus Carvallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Cantona in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vikingos FC's zone, Thalis Papazisis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Sosa came out of the goal and Thalis Papazisis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vikingos FC's Bernardo Bela was substituted for Guaberto Ongile. Vikingos FC made a substitution. Rosendo Estevez replaced Aurelio Urtats. Horacio Jesus Carvallo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Marco Cantona sent off a good shot on target. Vikingos FC's Alejandro Tena was substituted for Marco Cantona. Vikingos FC's Alexis Rijkaard managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Filip Balonek in the 82 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 84th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Alejandro Tena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thalis Papazisis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Vikingos FC defense, Thalis Papazisis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastián Sosa. The Vikingos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastián Sosa should have stopped the shot. Baez FC's attack was well implemented in the 95th minute, but when Thalis Papazisis was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The Vikingos FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
