In the 12th minute Herminio Florinio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportivo Águila's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Aureliano Karlo scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Guimarães, making the score, 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, Herminio Florinio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Eztebe. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herminio Florinio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Guido Txindoki kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustavo Guimarães. That made the score 3-1 in the 32 minute of play. Vintilă Cârneci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Dawid Beckham could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Gustavo Guimarães however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Águila's Herminio Florinio got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Baltazar Oporto threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Wojciech Fiszer quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Aureliano Karlo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gustavo Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Club Deportivo Águila's Dário Diniz was substituted for Herminio Florinio. Club Deportivo Águila's Knud Venzin was substituted for Yusuf Sebil. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aureliano Karlo made a kick off. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Diniz in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Alberto Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramon Gomez made in the 69th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dário Diniz. Germano Bettencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julien Staffelbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Thiago Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Alberto Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julien Staffelbach kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Alberto Alvarenga hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Julien Staffelbach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Guimarães. Club Deportivo Águila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julien Staffelbach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 97th minute, Germano Bettencourt made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Guimarães. Club Deportivo Águila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
