Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) SORRISO E. C.'s Gil Cearense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bogdan Lobonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner. Gil Cearense went to the cornerflag to take it. Silvério Abraão was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Alexandru Săvulescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caco Azevedo. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. 15 minutes into the game, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Laurențiu Ciomag nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caco Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Cearense in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Lobonț saved F.C CLUJ MEDICINA from getting behind. Fábio Luz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Agachi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Fábio Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bogdan Lobonț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Cearense in the 29th minute of play. Gil Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Lobonț having to interfere. Florin Moscu kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Iwanowski in the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Gil Cearense shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Lobonț showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandru Săvulescu to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Săvulescu in the 52nd minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Caco Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Luz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, one of SORRISO E. C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SORRISO E. C.. SORRISO E. C.:s Caco Azevedo showed great skill when he stopped Laurențiu Ciomag:s penalty. After 55 minutes of play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Laurențiu Ciomag made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caco Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th match minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Vârșan to maneuver through the defense. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Moscu in the 66th minute of play. Bogdan Lobonț came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Gil Cearense. But to his dismay, Gil Cearense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Narcis Agachi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryszard Iwanowski got free with Bogdan Lobonț in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Cearense in the 79th minute of play. Alexandru Săvulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexandru Săvulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Cearense in the 94th minute of play. Ryszard Iwanowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Bogdan Lobonț made a huge save. Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Săvulescu in the 97th minute of the match. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SORRISO E. C. for a fine match.
