After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Aitor Carceles got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 6 minutes into the match, FCSB CUENCA's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Häll came free, but Hibai Cao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludwig Bock in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hibai Cao, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 11th match minute, The Shadows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Bjursell to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Yuma Suzuki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Shadows and the FCSB CUENCA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Yuma Suzuki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the game, FCSB CUENCA's Alfons Japón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens Molander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 20th minute Toni Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Molander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Hibai Cao managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when The Shadows's Thomas Häll fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jens Molander came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by FCSB CUENCA's Bernardo Solo. But to his dismay, Bernardo Solo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 34th minute, Arvid Billock had to leave the field with a concussion. 34 minutes into the game, Uriel Gimeno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FCSB CUENCA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Shadows the free kick. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Uriel Gimeno hit a great ball. Ludwig Bock might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hibai Cao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ludwig Bock ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute Alfons Japón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Molander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hibai Cao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Häll in the 42nd minute of play. Hibai Cao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Häll in the 46th minute of play. Hibai Cao came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by The Shadows's Stig-Ove Blom. But to his dismay, Stig-Ove Blom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfons Japón made a kick off. Jens Molander made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Alfons Japón sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, The Shadows's Yuma Suzuki got a free kick in the 55th minute. FCSB CUENCA's Hibai Cao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Häll in the 70th minute of play. When The Shadows's Thomas Häll in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Thomas Häll managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Shadows's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Häll was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hibai Cao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FCSB CUENCA were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over The Shadows's much stronger midfield.
