A throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game was made by Feliciano Itzaina with Clemente Mergildo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, VINEIRO FC's Toto Caputo got control of the ball when Inocencio Derwin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cayetano Gonsalve hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes, VINEIRO FC's Ovidio Froylan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cleto Erramun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VINEIRO FC reached it. Cleto Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Miliano in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, VINEIRO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Piorno came free, but Toto Caputo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Su in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cleto Erramun saved Arrecifes from getting behind. Toto Caputo came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Arrecifes's Raul Eduino. But to his dismay, Raul Eduino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Eduino in the 26th minute of play forced VINEIRO FC's goalkeeper Toto Caputo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Raul Eduino took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Toto Caputo to make any attempt to save it. In the 39th minute, Raul Eduino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Arrecifes's Raul Eduino got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Arrecifes's Cleto Erramun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Arrecifes from getting a goal against them. Evaristo Reyes's late challenge caught a VINEIRO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Reyes helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Arrecifes got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Reyes. Cleto Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Mergildo in the 63rd minute of the match. If Cayetano Gonsalve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Miliano in the 68th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Cleto Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goalkeeper Cleto Erramun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantino Lucado. Cleto Erramun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cayetano Gonsalve took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toto Caputo. Toto Caputo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Arrecifes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
