The ball had pretty good speed, but Dudu de Toledo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 9 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Peres. Pedrinho Teixeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dudu de Toledo came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedrinho Teixeira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Scarlet Speedster's Dudu de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Correia in the 16th minute of play. Scarlet Speedster's Dudu de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Scarlet Speedster's Jânio Guimarães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldão Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. José Carlos Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Carlos Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Castro. After a rather tough play, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Breno da Cunha got a free kick in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Ramos came free, but Dudu de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glauco Recife could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Dudu de Toledo made a huge save. Scarlet Speedster's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Breno da Cunha scored to the left of an out of position Dudu de Toledo, making the score, 2-1. 37 minutes into the game, Adalberto Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarlet Speedster the free kick. The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho da Cunha during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Cristóvão Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Scarlet Speedster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Angelo de Sena lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ronaldão Quirino had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Cristóvão Nascimento's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dudu de Toledo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Tarcisio Ramos sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After having played for 58 minutes, Tarcisio Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dudu de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Ramos in the 71st minute of play. Clóvis Rocha hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Tarcisio Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalberto Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Scarlet Speedster's performance. The match ended with a win for Scarlet Speedster.
