The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Merten Boxberger dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jack Neal, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Drew Tipton in the 9th minute of play forced Eintracht Emden's goalkeeper Dan Degdau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, Dunder Mifflin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thanh Thomas to maneuver through the defense. Arik Beloch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Neal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Merten Boxberger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dan Degdau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drew Tipton, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Drew Tipton made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Domenico Wagner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dan Degdau, 2-4. Jack Neal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merten Boxberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Degdau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Rhoades in the 57th minute of the match. Dan Degdau made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Drew Tipton sent off a good shot on target. Dan Degdau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Rhoades in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Eintracht Emden's goalkeeper Dan Degdau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Drew Tipton. After 75 played minutes Eintracht Emden got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Lausen. 82 minutes into the match, Eintracht Emden's Merten Boxberger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jack Neal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dunder Mifflin's Jack Neal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arik Beloch in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Nicholas Navarro notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Eintracht Emden's Dan Degdau. Dan Degdau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicholas Navarro struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Dan Degdau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunder Mifflin. In the 95th minute Nicholas Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Degdau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Drew Tipton got free with Dan Degdau in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Dunder Mifflin players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
